Our room (104) had a stunning view over the surrounding area. We enjoyed having breakfast (from the cafe downstairs) on our balcony and watching the sun rise over the valley. Staying overnight in San Marino is a must. During the day, it is very crowded with bus tours, day trippers, etc., but at night, most people leave and the old walled city is extra charming. In the morning, you'll have the place to yourself. Do yourself a favor and stay over at least one night. Hotel La Rocca was great. Room was very clean and spacious (given it's in the heart of the historic town). Check-in/out was easy, and if you are lucky enough to find a parking space in lot P6, it's very close to walk (~100m) with your bags. The hotel also discounts the parking to half-price (5€ instead of 10). We didn't eat at the restaurant downstairs, but it seemed like lots of people were enjoying it. Great stay overall and a decent value given it's location.

It was easy to find the hotel. Staff was helpful and could speak good English. I really enjoyed my stay there, definitely will stay again.
