Shabby building, but inside - friendly, helpful staff, well equipped 4* level room with direct access to a fantastic garden with mountain views, delicious rich breakfasts and dinners, that even much more luxurious and expensive hotels didn't offer us later. A huge positive surprise, highly recommended.

Located in the South of the Réunion, this hotel is surrounded by mountains and greenery and features a restaurant and en suite accommodations. Great location being very close to the volcano. You have your own balcony, all the essentials, the room had its own rustic charm and was extremely clean. We were leaving at 5am, well before breakfast the next morning so we got a tray of goods including tea, coffee, croissants and juice etc which was a very nice gesture from the staff there, they were very friendly and helpful.

It’s quite close to the Volcano Road and in a very quite and serene part of the island. We had one half of the house fully for ourselves and it was cosy, private and very nicely furnished.

Alice is a dream of a host. She took great care of us and was very helpful. She speaks good English, which made up for our mediocre French. Our room had a beautiful view over Le Tampon until the ocean. The breakfast was excellent and included homemade jams (which you can also buy to take with you if you have found your favourites) and homemade cake. When we started early in the morning to hike to the summit of Piton de la Fournaise she made us a breakfast to go with a homemade banana chocolate cake which was mouthwatering. The room was cleaned daily. Alice also let us checkin really early without any trouble at all. Her husband and the two small daughters are very friendly.
