Hotel Os Moinhos is located in São Jorge Island, with views over the highest mountain in Portugal, sited in nearby Pico Island. the grounds and views were amazing! nicely kept hotel rooms too.

This hotel is 200 metres from the shopping area of Velas and 1 km from the harbour. It features a terrace overlooking the garden, the outdoor pool, and the Atlantic Ocean. The view was amazing. Location was excellent. Right across the street from Car Rental. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Walking distance to many good restaurants and natural pool. 10 out of 10 for the staff…when we checked out at 6 am, it was raining so hard, the guy on duty at the front desk drove us to the ferry….(we had planned to walk to the ferry, and had not booked a taxi, so instead of letting us walk in the rain, we were grateful for the offer to drive us…he went above and beyond!!)

At the foot of the São Jorge Mountains, Hotel Solmar is less than 100 metres from the coastline. Its air-conditioned rooms overlook the Atlantic Ocean, Calheta Harbour or mountains. The room was clean and very spacious, equipped with an a/c which was very welcome in July. :) The location is great, close by a supermarket and restaurants. Good breakfast!

Varandas do Basalto se găsește în Queimada și are vedere la munte, WiFi gratuit și parcare privată gratuită. The apartment is very comfortable with plentyspace, the owner was very kind and helpful. Very well located.

Cantinho do Piano are unități de cazare în Velas. Unitățile sunt dotate cu climatizare, un televizor cu ecran plat cu canale prin satelit, un cuptor cu microunde, un ibric electric, un duș, articole... We made a spontaneous decision to spend a few nights on the island because of the storm. Ana was an incredible host, not only did she let us prolong our room reservation, but she was also extremely kind and gave us lots of cool recommendations on places to visit on the island. She also helped us with a dryer for our clothes. I highly recommend this cozy hotel for a couple or family vacation.

Retiro Atlântico se află în Urzelina și oferă o grădină, o terasă și facilități de grătar. Acest cort de lux pune la dispoziție WiFi gratuit, parcare privată gratuită și o bucătărie comună. I loved everything about our stay. The yurt was a one of a kind experience & it being in between all that green made it even more special. Every morning there was a fresh homemade breakfast with products they grew themselves. We got good tips for places to visit & help whenever we needed. I would recommend this place to everyone & if we ever return to São Jorge, then we will definitely book here again. Natacha, thank you for everything! It was a pleasure to be your guest.

Quinta da Magnólia AR se găsește în Urzelina și oferă unități de cazare cu terasă sau balcon, WiFi gratuit și televizor cu ecran plat, precum și o piscină în aer liber sezonieră și o grădină. This is a high quality beautiful location. Very convenient location, easy free parking, great breakfasts and spectacular pool.

Casa d'Avó Guesthouse and Apartment se află în Urzelina și are vedere la oraș, o grădină, un lounge comun, o terasă, facilități pentru sporturi acvatice și facilități de grătar. Great location only 6 minutes from the airport. Clean and spacious room with a view of Pico from my window. They let me check in early (at 9:30am when my flight got in!) and my room was already ready, which was wonderful. Also helped with getting a taxi to take me to the beginning of my hike. Wish I could have stayed an extra day to enjoy it all, but it was beautiful!
