Our hosts , Mario and Julia went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. They took the time to share with us the customs of their community. They happily gave us a tour of the island. Mario was kind enough to pick us up at our boat and Julia escorted us to our boat when we left. Clean, comfortable and rustic. Excellent location. Mario and Julia are truly lovely people and was our pleasure to have met them.

Located 4 blocks from the main square, Taquile Familia Celso offers accommodations in Quinuapata. A complimentary breakfast is served daily. Rooms here are fitted with shared bathroom facilities. The family Celso was very kind. We stayed 2 nights at their place and we learned a lot about their culture. The food was amazing and the location very beautiful.

Edwin was super helpful and caring so I could arrive the accomodation without any problem. Views were astonishing and the peace was out of this world. Food was nice too. They gave me a better room than the one I booked because they had it free for that night.

We have been welcomed by the wonderful host Lucrecia (Richar’s wife) alongside with her daughter. The rooms are really nice and clean and the view is just incredible. For lunch dinner and breakfast Lucrecia cooks delicious and healthy meals that we loved. Spending some time there has been truly relaxing and one to one with nature and local culture! Thank you to the family, highly recommended for a unique experience. Note on how to arrive: Easily grab a local bus “collectivo” from Puno to Capachica and then take a local boat from Chifforn Port to Amantaní. Then either you walk 1+ hours or take a ride with the motorbike that are available at the port waiting (very cool experience)
