Everything about our stay was perfect. View is great, bathtub is lovely and very smartly designed with the glass. Tastefully designed and felt like luxury. The soap/shampoo/conditioner/body balm was super luxurious as well - made me go google on where I can buy it from. We were here on our honeymoon and they went the extra mile with rose petals and chocolates and towels folded to look like swans. Staff was really sweet and she helped us move our luggages up the slope to our room on level two, explained how everything worked. Breakfast was great - with cooked eggs (scrambled or fried) and bacon and grilled tomato and hashbrown etc, made to order when youre in the dining room (you can also opt to have it served in your room). MacKenzie Country Hotel is located in Twizel, in the heart of the Aoraki Mount Cook and MacKenzie Country Region. It offers modern rooms with picturesque views of the surrounding mountains. The property is very well maintained even though is not new. The front desk is very helpfull. Good location.
