Built in 1865 and restored in 1902, Otira Stagecoach Hotel is situated in the heart of the Arthur's Pass National Park. It offers antiques throughout as well as stagecoaches and horse wagons outside. Delightfully quirky, friendy proprietor with loafs of interesting stories, beautiful clydesdales and lots to see in the hotel.

Boasting stunning views of mountains, river and the valley, Bealey Hotel is within a 30-minute drive of 5 ski fields. It offers a restaurant, barbecue facilities and free on-site parking. Room was spacious, very clean and had an amazing view of snow-capped mountains. Beds were luxuriously comfortable. Everything was as new and in immaculate condition. Great for even the fussiest of people. The continental breakfast was much better than expected and included cold meats, cheese and boiled eggs as well as a wide range of cereal, with preserver fruit and yoghurt, not to mention coffee and a choice of several fruit juices.

The house was absolutely perfect: very comfortable furnishings, cozy feel, great amenities, and lovely views. The pictures really do not do it justice.

Nice room, clean and comfortable , good parking. The owners were very nice people. Good hot shower , kitchen and fridge. We had a good time and really recommend staying here.

What a peaceful stay in this cozy cabin surrounded by nature, river sounds, morning birds chirping and amazing night sky. The highlight was the fireplace with wood provided which was so relaxing. Very clear instructions so it was easy to find it even when it was dark. Gary is super friendly, proactive and made sure we understood how to get there.

The house is in a good location near Arthur's Pass and makes a great stop if you're driving cross country. We opted to include the dinner and breakfast and both were delicious. The common area and bathroom is shared with another room/visitors and we were lucky to have very enjoyable company so it felt like reliving the old hostel days as an adult 😀
