If you ever get a chance to stay at Rachael’s and Mark‘s place, do it. I came a second time from Germany and will return for a third one. For the private waterfall, the quirky and heartwarming handmade details all around the grounds, the nightsky, feeding trouts, hearing blue ducks, or the room with costumes, but most importantly for feeling this unique spot between nature and garden. It is so peaceful and quiet it is absolutely mind-boggling.

Situated in the heart of Tongariro National Park, Skotel Alpine Resort offers a restaurant, a hot tub and a terrace bar with a fireplace. Most accommodations boast stunning mountain or region views. A great location at the start of several hiking trails, including Tongariro hikes. The hotel has a variety of fun facilities - sauna, table tennis, billiards, super comfy common area. Liked the stay a lot, would definitely recommend

This Millennium Hotel and Resort is located right on the edge of Lake Taupo. It offers luxury accommodation and facilities that include a heated pool, sauna, gym and tennis court. staff are the friendliest we have met. out of their way to help thank you for the wonderful stay. would have loved to have spent a few more days.

The Powderhorn Chateau is situated in Ohakune, at the entrance to Tongariro National Park. The suite - kitchen, bathroom, sitting room are amazing!

Lakeland Resort is situated on the beautiful shores of Lake Taupo. Set on 2.8 acres of landscaped grounds, this resort boasts a tennis court, an on-site restaurant and a seasonal outdoor swimming... Friendly, helpful staff. Really good breakfast. Close to the lakeside path. Good lighting in the room.

Located in the Tongariro National Park, The Park Hotel Ruapehu offers affordable accommodation in a stunning alpine setting. Guests are provided with free parking and 500MB of free WiFi. Perfect for my family of three traveling through NZ. The staff are friendly and helpful. The resturant is quite good too.
