Bed is super comfortable, the homemade bread for breakfast is yummy and enjoyed it in a very special company (two goats can’t remember their names 😅 ) A top place to stay!

Despite being a bit remote, the peaceful surroundings made us feel like we were miles away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Our accommodation was nothing short of exceptional. The air-conditioned guest house featured one bedroom, one bathroom, and all the amenities we could possibly need for a comfortable stay. From the plush bed linen and towels to the well-equipped kitchenette, every detail was thoughtfully curated to ensure our utmost comfort. The terrace with mountain views was the perfect spot to unwind and take in the breathtaking scenery. One of the highlights of our stay was the delicious breakfast prepared by our gracious hosts. We were delighted to find a variety of options to choose from, including fresh fruits that were a delightful touch. Walnut Lodge B&B offers accommodation in Matamata. Every room at this bed and breakfast is air conditioned and features a flat-screen TV. The studio was super cosy, new and sparkling clean! Surrounded of cows and nature. Absolutely amazing and so much attention to details. We felt like at home. The bed was super comfortable and we slept like babies Breakfast was taken the evening before with homemade bread, fruit, fresh juice etc.. Highly recommended!

Built in 1977, The Nunnery is located in central Te Aroha and offers a guest lounge and a shared patio with BBQ facilities. It is a 2-minute walk from the Te Aroha Mineral Spas. Great location for accessing hiking and mineral pools.

Located in the centre of Matamata, this motel offers a swimming pool and a hot tub. All rooms offer a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. One of the best motels we stayed in our trip to NZ north island - very clean and modern -Everything was perfect and Spotless clean - Location perfect all restaurants and shops nearby .. quiet and peaceful area .. Parking at the motel was also very convenient and easy -- Hobbiton just 20 mins away Me and my family loved our stay in Matamata and in Broadway motel - I loved the small down of Matata - should've stayed more nights !
