Historic Shipping Office - Akaroa boasts stunning water views over Akaroa Harbour. Indulge in a waterfront dinner at the on-site restaurant and bar. The room was perfect and the bed was very comfortable . The balcony overlooked the town and the morning sunrise view was amazing. Staff were lovely and very friendly. The restaurant is cosy and the service was excellent. Food was delicious. Would definitely stay again and highly recommended to anyone.

Centrally located in Akaroa, this motel offers rooms with either a balcony or a patio. It also includes 500MB of free WiFi per day, per room. Akaroa Criterion Motel is situated opposite Children’s... Check in was easy; staff very friendly and accommodating. The bed was super comfortable and the linen was great quality. Little touches like the way the bed was dressed made such a difference. The couch was also very comfortable and the property clearly takes its commitment to cleaning very seriously. The toiletries in the bathroom were also of a great quality; presenting them in the pump packs is so much nicer than in the tiny squeeze packs. Better fro the environment too; less waste. The towels in the bathroom were soft and fluffy and hadn't been boiled to within an inch of their lives. All of this coupled with a lovely view of the water made this hotel a surprise packet; such good value for our 2 night getaway.

Hideaway - A Couples Retreat is situated in Akaroa and offers a terrace. This cottage has a garden and free private parking. Wonderful little cottage so close to Akaroa, we had a lovely three nights. A 15 min walk down to the town was perfect and another couple of minutes to the beach. The cottage was great and had everything we needed for our couple days. Highly recommend this cottage it's a perfect base for exploring Akaroa!

The property is in an amazing setting and Martin and Verity have a lovely place. The 3 course dinner was outstanding and the breakfast was also great. It was a perfect place to recharge after a long flight from the US. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something off the beaten path. Outstanding!!
