It has a very relaxed and chill vibe, and Hans, the host, has plenty of recommendations for hikes, activities, etc. and makes sure everyone is comfortable.

Scenically set by the Oppstrynsvatnet Fjord, the family-owned Hjelle Hotel rests in a lush garden surrounded by mountains. Jostedalsbreen National Park is 5 km away. The room was big enough to accommodate a couple, it was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean. Water pressure was good. The food was nice. Quite a nice open buffet type of dinner and breakfast. The hotel offers you a packed lunch for a certain price and you can fill your bottle for coffee (for a certain price). The staff was very friendly. Always smiling and willing to help you all the time. The hotel location is quite good as well. There are nice places you can visit by foot. The hotel staff gives you a booklet you should check after you settle in your room. There are suggestions of places where you should visit including the routes and nice places to visit.

Hotel Alexandra Loen is located in Stryn and offers majestic views of the surrounding mountains and fjords. The family-run hotel and offers free WiFi and parking. Loen Skylift is a 5-minute walk away.... A large building, already having its years, but it has many advantages. Very nice lobby, extremely helpful staff, restaurant with delicious food, huge selection of feed from the buffet. Very nice, modern rooms, comfortable bed, well-equipped gym. The hotel is located in a beautiful village, next to it there is a cable car that can take you 1100 m up and offers an extraordinary view of the fjords. Important, tickets for entry can be purchased at the hotel reception. The building is already quite old, but the comfort in the interior compensates for the resort character of the hotel. From the outside it can not stall, but everything is great from the inside.

Housed in a 19th-century building by Stryn Bay, this hotel offers individually decorated rooms with private balconies and free WiFi access. Stryn centre is a short walk away. Outstanding in every way. Think of a large chain hotel and then think the opposite. The hotel has been run since 1850s but carefully renovated without removing the quaint old style vibe. From the moment you walk in it feels like home (as it has been in the last to Royalty). No issue for us, but there are only stairs so you will need to carry your bags up. Great drying room if you need it. The rooms are lovely - spotlessly clean, lovely little balcony and large bathroom/shower with excellent shower pressure. There is a super nice trail that runs from behind the hotel with lovely view along the way. Not very challenging but a lovely walk - maybe and hour is so up and back. Easy to get to more challenging hikes - just ask at reception. We did the walk to Raksetra (drive 10mins and maybe 90 mins round trip with spectacular views of the fjord from the top. The dinner we had was exceptional with service to match. Exceptional. Breakfast was also superb. Plenty of choice - Norwegian, freshly baked breads, if you want, eggs and bacon done just right and pastries, high quality condiments etc. We wish we could have stayed for longer.

This intimate hotel is in Sandane Village, on the shore of Gloppen Fjord. It offers historic atmosphere and traditional local cuisine. Guests can enjoy free Wi-Fi and parking. Very forthcoming and friendly staff. We could get a short-term table for dinner (which is a selection of courses but from a very good chef), not classically a la carte with a huge selection. But the dinner was very delicious and our waitress was super friendly and professional even though we gathered it was her first week. Dinner is not cheap in absolute terms, but for the quality delivered, it's a very fair price.

Stryn House - Hotel & Apartments offers a restaurant, a terrace and air-conditioned accommodation with a patio and free WiFi. It was very spacious and comfortable! The bed and pillows were the best after a day of climbing. I will sure recommend it to others!

It's at the top of a mountain, next to a huge waterfall. the view is breathtaking. We had a problem with our shower (no cold water) but have been given access to the shower in the room next door. The electricity went out - they brought us candles! The atmosphere was remarkable and the staff very attentive. We slept very well. The breakfast was amazing as well
