The owners were extremely welcoming, caring and friendly. Cannot praise enough how well we felt within our stay. We had dinner as well and have met the best chef in Norway! Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. All with a beautiful way to the sea and the mountains. For us, it was the last night in this amazing country and the hosts have made it special for us.

Our stay at the Snowhotel was the highlight of our trip to Norway! The staff were all so welcoming and they really take customer service seriously, from the receptionists to the restaurant waiters, the mushers and the guides, they made us feel special. We stayed the first night in the snow hotel in the first room with the fireplace. We were given a tour of the facilities and an explanation on how to sleep on the ice beds in the sleeping bags. We were afraid we would be cold but the sleeping bags were actually quite warm and you also get woolen socks and balaclavas. We had quite a comfortable sleep and it was certainly a once in a lifetime experience to try! The snow hotel itself is a work of art, each room is unique and there is an ice bar as well which serves drinks in ice glasses. It's definitely worth a visit even if you don't spend the night there. On the second night we stayed in one of the Gamme cabins, which are very comfortable and have a huge glass window perfect to look out for the aurora. The breakfast buffet and set dinner were delicious, serving local dishes such as reindeer steak, arctic char and king crab salad. They also cater to dietary preferences if you inform them in advance. Lunch is available at the Gabba restaurant, the choices a bit limited, but we enjoyed the free-flowing hot berry juice there. There is also tea & coffee in the lounge available for guests throughout the day. For activities, we highly recommend the husky safari, snowmobile tour and the Sami meet-up - it's hard to pick our favorite as they were all incredible experiences. You can borrow thermal overalls and boots for these activities, as well as skis, sledges and snow shoes.

Really cozy hotel, clean rooms, and amazing views. The food was also really good with locally sourced products and the onwers were really friendly. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a peacefull and relaxing stay

We loved being totally surrounded by nature. The lodge is very comfortable and well maintained. Plus a hot tub on the roof! The restaurant wasn't open when we were there because there weren't enough people, but we actually loved being able to cook for ourselves. Overall it was a really unique and amazing stay. It's close to the main streets in Bodø, it's close to the airport, the reception is very well decorated, the room for the breakfast is very spacious, I got an spacious, quiet & clean room, and with wonderful view!! Close to train station and beautiful position with views of the lake. All experiences we had booked came to pick us up at the hotel so very convenient. Nice size room and nice constant temperature. Great shower, temperature and pressure, perfect when coming back from the outdoor activities. The hotel sits on the hill close to the lake and there are a few hiking trails from the hotel. Staff were amazingly sweet. Strongly recommend!
