The staff was really friendly. The The location was great. There were a lot of pleasant surprises like being picked up from the boat, treats in the room, free filtered water. The grounds were immaculate with hammocks and lounge chairs. We booked for 3 nights and stayed for 9 nights!

I stayed here for anight after Little Corn and flying out the next day. It is walkable from the panga pier, or a short taxi, and central to get to Long Bay and Southwest Bay by short taxi rides also. The property is beautiful and west facing for a gorgeous sunset. My room was large, clean with good AC and the staff were all wonderful.

Yes, sometimes there isn't water for a moment, but that's how the Robinson Crusoe experience is authentic. There is so much to discover on the large grounds and on the paths through the forest or along the beach. Anna, Derek and family are very warm people with whom we quickly felt comfortable and at home. The breakfast is great and dinner with everyone who wants to join is a nice and culinary way to get together. The on-site dive center is also great with breathtaking dive spots right outside the door, experienced guides and good equipment. We are happy to have experienced such a relaxed stay on the island through Derek's Place. That's why we stayed twice as long as originally planned.
