Before I even arrived at their property, Manager Cíntia Neves was providing me with wonderful guidance as I prepared to make the most of my first time in Moçambique. She communicated essential transport advice and recommendations of ways to maximize my time in Maputo, even when I was staying at another hotel for my first six days in the country. Once I finally arrived, I was able to enjoy a lovely start to the new year. Breakfast was filled with delicious fruits and excellent service. The rest of the breakfast spread was not as exciting, but it worked for my four morning meals. Due to the rainy weather, and getting out to explore the city, I did not get to fully enjoy the pool, but it was nice to have one there since the part of the ocean where you can swim is on the other side of the city. I enjoyed walking in the beautiful Tunduru Gardens nearby, and there is a lovely restaurant at the end of the street by the museum (and at the top of killer steps) where I enjoyed a fabulous meal and view of the sunset (Campo Das Acácias) It was quiet in the hotel, and I enjoyed the peace after being on the other side by the beach with lots of families and groups.

De grote slaapkamer en grote badkamer met fijn bad en het uitzicht. Twee tweepersoonsbedden zodat je ook met een gezin deze kamer zou kunnen nemen. De ruimte in de kamers is heel fijn. Ook de parkeergarage onder het hotel is gemakkelijk. Het personeel is vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het ontbijt (tegen betaling) en diner zijn prima. Dus je hoeft de deur niet uit om te eten als je dat niet wilt. Het hotel was zo fijn, dat 1 nacht eigenlijk niet genoeg was. Een van de fijnste hotels die we in Maputo hebben gehad.

Een hele verademing na een 8uur durende rit tussen Tofo en Maputo om in een aangenaam verblijf terecht te komen. Ze hielpen ons ook met de transport shuttle tussen het hotel en de luchthaven.

So much hospitality, courtesy and congenialitiy! The Polana gave me a luxurious room with a balcony even though I had only booked a standard-room. I was allow to use the room from the morning until late check-out at 1 pm the next day without extra-charge. A thousand thanks to Mr. Manuel Cossa who helped me with my missing luggage. But the highlight was a delicious chocolate-cake and a fruit-platter for my birthday. I was very touched. You can't expect anything more.
