We had great stay at Luka's, he is a lovely and caring host who always made sure that we have a good time. The room was clean, warm water worked very well, it was quiet, AC also quiet, beautiful house right next to the river. On the terrasse we had a delicious Malaysian breakfast with view on the jungle and river. The distance to the village was no problem at all because either the bus Agency dropped us there/ picked us up, the guide brought us back or Luka took us by car. Come here if you want a nice accommodation and if you want you can have some nice talks with Luka, too.

Situated in Taman Negara, Balai Serama Guesthouse offers tranquil and comfortable accommodation. Surrounded by lush greenery, it features a restaurant and provides free parking space on site. The guesthouse itself is a nice building with a well-kept garden, next to a river. It's located outside of Kuala Tahan, but the hosts provide 4WD transport to any activities that you have. It's a much more peaceful place than the area around the park centre at Kuala Tahan. We stayed in the family room, which was a smaller building behind the main one. The room was spacious, clean and very well equipped. The owners of the Guesthouse are very very kind and extremely helpful. Take their advice about your daily activities because they really do know all the best places. We went on a full day jungle trip and it was legendary (also, we were very lucky with the weather). Breakfast was good and dinner was even better. The banana cake they have is almost addictive! We only spent a few days here but had the most amazing experience! I can truly recommend this place to everyone!

It's a little further from town than few other guesthouses but it provides a nice walk and some tranquility. We enjoyed that a lot. The owner is a very nice lady, always ready to help. Her daughter was super funny and came to play with us. It was a very pleasant stay.

She's full of energy and feels like a hostel Mom. She's right there to give advice for adventures, and is extremely knowledgeable on the region. She makes the visit so much fun! The two of us ended up staying up super late one night, just talking about life. I want to go back!!!
