Very welcoming and helpful staff that even came to pick us up when our vehicle broke down. The room was nice and comfortable. We enjoyed having hot chocolate near the fireplace at the restaurant. The hotel is close to the market and looks very nice, both inside and outside. The parking was also good.

Bhalil
Offering an outdoor pool and table d'Hôte, Dar El Mandar - Ferme & Table d'Hôte Berbère is located in Bhalil. Private bathroom also comes with a shower. Dar el Mandar was our favourite stay in Morocco. I wish we had stayed here longer. The whole experience was incredible: the friendly staff who couldn't do enough for you, the beautiful architecture and grounds, the stunning view, the deliciously fresh food. Although the staff spoke mainly French, there was no issue and they were eager to work things out. We truly loved our stay here and would come back just for this location. Thank you to the whole team.

Beautiful cave house with amazing decoration- could look at all the rugs and ceramics and paintings forever! The hosts were really friendly and helpful, I don’t speak French but still they managed to communicate with me. It had a really nice communal feeling, as another family was staying and we had a delicious dinner and breakfast together and played cards! Highly recommend :)
Imouzzer du Kandar
26 miles from Royal Palace Fes in Imouzzer du Kandar, Villa ain soltan offers accommodations with access to a public bath. This property offers access to a balcony and free private parking. We loved this property! What a quiet and beautiful city. Location is SO quiet and very quaint! Far enough from the city center for quiet, but close enough to get to everything and anything that you need! Super close to the mountains for a hike and yet you can have lunch along the busy street and people watch! I cant say enough good things about this place!! I have to add that our host was super friendly and helped us with questions about the area and about the house!
Bhalil
This characteristic Moroccan house is located in a quiet area in Bhalil, 12 mi from Fès. It offers rooms with free Wi-Fi access and views of the Atlas Mountains or the town. Kamal's guesthouse is beautifully furnished and decorated, the food is superb - the best I ate during two weeks in Morocco. Although I only stayed one night, the guesthouse and village would have repaid a longer visit since Kamal is knowledgeable about the area, its history and economy, and offers a far more interesting and unique range of day trips than a typical hotelier. I would particularly recommend him to anyone practically-minded who is interested in learning about, for want of a better expression, "how things work". For instance, we drove out to a lime kiln on a nearby hillside to find out how the traditional lime whitewash is made which coats a number of the local buildings, and we went to watch a joiner at work and discussed local carpentry methods, the different kinds of wood, and so on (especially interesting if you are into woodwork and have already visited the Nejjarine Museum of wooden handicrafts in Fes). The highlight for me, however, was going with Kamal to the sheep souq at Guigou in the Middle Atlas - this really was a fantastic experience and even though, in theory, I could have rented a car and gone there by myself, I would have missed out on a ton of information from Kamal, translated conversations with the Berber shepherds, and would have had to have driven through the mountains in the middle of the night in order to arrive at the souq in time. A splendid experience, and also a great place to buy things at dramatically lower prices than what one would pay in the city.
