Birds Paradise Hotel er umkringt fallegu fjallaútsýni og býður upp á heillandi gistirými í Kalawana. Ekta máltíðir í Sri Lanka-stíl eru í boði á veitingastaðnum. The wonderful place to stay, friendly owner (Nimal), the best rice and curry we've ever tried in Sri Lanka! The room has all basic things you need: comfortable bed and pillows, hot shower with good water pressure, AC. The hotel surrounded by forest, just 2 mins to Sinharaja NP office, but many endemic animals can be seen right from your balcony! I've photographed a couple of grey hornbills (male and female), blue magpie and even purple-faced langurs (thanks to Nimal again!). We've spent just one night there, but it's definitely worth a longer stay if you have enough time to relax in peaceful jungle area. P.S. Inside Sinharaja forest we were guided by Nadika (ask her at the national park office). She's a good guide and even found a pair of Sri Lanka frogmouths for us [you're hardly find these birds yourself ;)]

The location of Dolagawa is magical. There is a river and a small waterfall where you can swim right next to the resort. We went to the Sinharaja Forest and the host arranged a 3-4 hour tour for us which was really nice. The food was good and the staff was welcoming, helpful and super friendly!

Stayed only two nights, its without doubt the best place I've stayed in a long time. Rooms are modern and clean with a large wall overlooking the mountain....its quiet, peaceful, beautiful, full of wildlife, no traffic, people....its nature at its best. I00% recommend staying here if you want peace and quiet in your life. I will be back as soon as possible. Salman cares for his guests and is very considerate.

Sinharaja Hostel er með útisundlaug, garð, sameiginlega setustofu og verönd í Deniyaya. Gististaðurinn er með bar og veitingastað sem framreiðir alþjóðlega matargerð. The forest tour that was organized by the owner was great, we requested for a short tour as our stay was short. Owner was good enough to accommodate our need, thanks. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and well versed in English. We loved the peacefulness when it hits dark, the hotel and surrounding were extremely quite, the only noises we heard were the insects and frog, we loved the serenity. Food was good and quick. We loved the location of the open restaurant, it was raining at the time, we got real rain forest experience. Rooms are spacious, clean and tidy. We loved the hospitality of the staff. There is nothing to complaint. We would definitely go there once again with kids when we can.

Actually, I can say about this place only in best words, what doesn't match the many opinions here on the booking.com. I had a good contact with the host, he offered us almost 2000 lkr cheaper guiding tour in the forest that we booked. The food was very tasty, especially rice and curry. Also, best french fries on the island I ate there. Even to reach this location (I mean, Sinharaja rain forest) they picked us up and dropped off close to the broken bridge. Nice swimming pool - very unexpected in such place.

360 Rainforest er staðsett í Deniyaya, 102 km frá Hikkaduwa. Galle er 83 km frá gististaðnum. Ókeypis einkabílastæði eru í boði á staðnum. Gistirýmið er með setusvæði. The staff were are very helpful recommended if you went to be in a real forest setting close to the park entrance.

The owners are unbelievably cute and prepared us amazing dinner and breakfast and we’re really really welcoming. The view of the room and the sitting area was stunning. It was hard to leave as they really make everything to make you feel at home. Absolutely recommendable. Booking shows the property on the map. On the point on the main road there is a little way down in the forest and that’s where the rainforest view guesthouse is. So if you arrive at night and you can’t find it straight away - just call the number in the profile and they come pick you up.
