Nice and close to the train station and castle ruins. Loved the hot springs. After the day of exploring I looked forward to a good soak before going to sleep. Breakfast was great and good selection. Staff were very lovely at reception and restaurant.

This hotel was a short walk from the train station and had a wonderful, welcoming staff. The small room was clean and tidy and provided a haven while storming and rainy outside. The breakfast was basic yet good, and there were amenities nearby, such as a Starbucks and kombini. When I had to wait longer than anticipated for a train to leave, they kindly let me stay in the eating area while I read with my luggage.

The space was enough for comfort and relaxation at quite a low price. The location is near to the bus station and train station so was convenient!!! The property overlooks the Sea of Japan and is greatly situated to discover the cute and interesting Tottori prefecture. Miki, the manager, is very friendly and attentionate. A nice, modern hotel of an attractive style, and literally on the beach. The hotel's onsen was good too, with an indoor bath and one open to the air with views out to sea. Colourful yukata and geta are provided free, and you can also wear them outside the hotel to stroll on the promenade. As with most Japanese hotels, the rooms are rather small (especially if you're travelling with a number of pieces of luggage), but the space was well designed to make the most of the space available. Our family room had twin beds and then a raised tatami area with a table that stowed away so that a futon could be laid out for a third person. We had floor to ceiling windows with an awesome view of the sea and the peninsula (sunset was particularly wonderful). We ate the buffet breakfast in the restaurant on site and it was good value for money. The car park has plenty of spaces. We also used the bus, which goes regularly from a block away to Yonago station, in around 15 minutes. There are two convenience stores a couple of minutes walk away. Kaike Onsen is a good base point for Matsue, Izumo and Daisen.
