Breakfast was very good and varied every day. The host (family) is very friendly and helpful and made good recommendations for restaurants and organized respective reservations.

Taketomijima Akaneya is located in Taketomi. The accommodation features traditional Okinawan red tile roofs and traditional Taketomi-style decor and amenities made from local woods and grass. Very close to the main beaches and to town, beautiful Japanese-style rooms and king-size bathroom. Very clean and staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

Nastanitev Mayagusuku Resort je v mestu Iriomote, 4 min hoje od znamenitosti Plaža Tsuki-ga-hama Beach, in nudi brezplačno izposojo koles, brezplačno zasebno parkirišče, vrt ter teraso. the family that owned the hotel were lovely and so helpful, they sorted out all our evening restaurant reservations for us ( there are not many places to eat and they get booked up quickly so even though its super quiet you need to reserve) and even drove us to the restaurant on the first night, they also gave us a lift into town to catch the ferry on the last day. the room was large and characterful and the balcony and the view and the hot tub were great. there is an amazing beach just 5 minutes away.

The views were spectacular. The beach in front of the hotel was lovely to swim at and the water was nice and warm (May). The beach around the corner by the view point was gorgeous. The staff were extremely helpful. They gave us great recommendations for snorkelling and kayaking tours, advice on restaurants, directions, bus service and booked our reservations. Free pick up service from/to ferry. They spoke limited English and we spoke no Japanese (just a few pleasantries) but they used a translator on their phone to work out what we wanted. Nothing was too hard. There is a dive shop there which does boat tours out to the dive spots. You can also hire an SUP.

Located on Iriomote Island, Iriomotejima Jungle Hotel Painumaya offers air-conditioned non-smoking rooms with river and jungle views. Free Wifi is available at the lobby. The view and location of the hotel were out of this world. The staff was also very friendly and tried to help, even though they had some problems understanding English.
