The hallways and common areas have an understated classiness, while although ageing gracefully, lose none of their charm or utility. The laundry service is exceptional; each item returns individually wrapped. And one more thing - perhaps the most important point left until last, the 24 hour concierge staff went above and beyond to ensure I was either warmly greeted or farewelled, each and every time we crossed paths. A truly wonderful rest experienced at the mid-point of my trip, literally next door to the famous Dogo Onsen.
