Plenty of restaurants around the area. Highly recommend the conveyor sushi near JR Station (Nemoru Hanamaru), had our best meal there with reasonable pricing.

Offering free WiFi, Hakodate Onuma Tsuruga Resort EPUY offers accommodation in Nanae, a 3-minute walk from Onuma Park and 1.1 km from Lake Konuma. With my wife we stop here on our way to Sapporo. The Onuma quasi national park was amazing itself, lots of birds and the path along the lake is awesome. The hotel was an experience. The interior design with beautiful wood crafted statues made the stay exceptional. I am a smoker and even if in the hotel is not alowed to smoke, the smoking room was comfortable and easy to reach. The rooms are big, extremely clean and there is all you need in them. The view on the lake from our room was great. We had the breakfast which was varied and of high quality. I enjoyed the scrambled eggs, and for my wife, which is vegan, they arranged a great breakfast too. Finally consideration the staff. They all speak English, they are extremely polite and will to help you in order to make your stay pleasant. I absolutely recommend a stay in this hotel to enjoy the wonder of this naturalistic area!

A 5-minute drive from JR Hakodate Station, Villa Concordia Resort offers spacious rooms with a balcony, a kitchenette and free wired internet. The room we stayed in was very big and nice. The area is very quiet so we didn’t hear any noise. We enjoyed having a quiet time listening to the music, reading books that they have in the library, and having coffee, wine and the welcome desserts they prepared for us. The staffs are very friendly and nice. We’d like to stay there next time, too.

Hotel is new and well maintained. Room size and comfort above usual standard for this type of hotel in Japan, washing machine in the room was a great plus! Also great idea to offer vouchers to use in certain restaurants of the morning market, excellent opportunity to taste some local specialties. Finally, I must not to forget to mention that coffee/tea are complimentary in the hotel’s lounge on 17th floor (btw with a fantastic view), and I would be remiss in not congratulating the team for everyone’s kindness and professionalism.
