It was close to the ferry port, bus stops and train stations and to many shops and restaurants. The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful and sent a taxi when I requested (I arrived later than expected and could not find one). They also advised me what to see and do when the tour I had booked was cancelled. There were many choices for breakfast and the staff there were also friendly, efficient and helpful. As a dog lover the gorgeous dog, who was sometimes in reception, was a bonus.

Set on the northern coast of Sardinia, Hotel Da Cecco is 200 metres from Santa Teresa Gallura’s beach. It offers classic-style accommodation, a bar and a 24-hour reception. A beautully appointed welcoming hotel perfectly sited to take advantage of iconic views from St Teresa Gallura to Corsica. The best position for sightseeing and walking around the old town. Family run, there appears to be no inquiry too frivolous or need, neglected. Restaurant recommendations proved superior. The room and bathroom were a good size, comfortable, plenty of hot water. Breakfast was great and local foods featured, you can boil eggs too. As a couple in their 70s from Australia travelling without a car we were extended additional courtesies and advice for which we are very grateful. The family should be commended 😍
