Tortugal Boutique River Lodge halvøen ligger i Rio Dulce-floden nær et slot fra det 16. århundrede. Halvøen er badet af næsten konstant havbrise, hvilket giver et køligt og forfriskende sted. The manager - Angela - is incredible! A true hospitality professional (rare in Central America!) & excellent travel advice. She the reason our stay was as amazing as it was! The hotel itself is beautiful, We stayed in the "Enchanted Cottage", which was just lovely. The entire property has charming board walks and paths. The restaurant was ideal - delicious menu!

El Hotelito Perdido er et lille jungle-tilflugtssted beliggende midt i nationalparken Rio Dulce. I had enjoyed very much to stay there. It was a perfect way to end my journey through Guatemala. A great place to relax to eat excellent food and to enjoy the nature and surroundings. Muchas gracias por todo.

Reserva Natural Cañón Seacacar ligger i Izabal, 45 km fra Castillo de San Felipe de Lara, og tilbyder indkvartering med have, gratis privat parkering, terrasse og restaurant. Perfect place hidden in a small village. It’s the only accommodation in the village and has been build to help the local community. The first language in the village is Q’eqchi, the children are now learning Spanish in school from about age 5. The staff of the hotel is from the village and for them it is a place to learn and work in tourism. They are all very friendly and helpful. If you want to have a great Guatemalan experience in one of the most beautiful places of Guatemala, where the crowds don’t go (yet), this is where you want to go! I reached the hotel by a two hour trail that is insanely beautiful, constructed by the people of the village, easy to follow and a good climb to two wooden miradors with lake and jungle views. Always with the sound of absolutely fantastic river ‘sauce’ on the background. The next day I went down on a tube and they carried my bag down. The tubing in the river is what will drop your yaws!! Absolutely beautiful, a cañón with high Walls on both sides. Everything is well organized and clean. It absolutely worth a visit! I’m writing this review because I could not believe that I was the only tourist there (on a Saturday)! You will not regret your visit and you will probably (hopefully) write a similar review to help this village and the people creating a better future for there town. There are several projects ongoing, including deforestation! Go and enjoy jungle, river and peace while enjoying great food and comfortable accommodation(affordable too!)

Hotel Kangaroo y Restaurante ligger i Rio Dulce og har have, fælles opholdsstue, restaurant og bar. Der tilbydes roomservice, concierge-service og valutaveksling. This is an amazing and unique stay. The only way to get to it is by boat and with that, you already know you're in for something unique. The staff were very helpful and helped us with whatever we needed. We stayed in the shared dormitory and it was just amazing

Nanajuana Río Dulce har restaurant, udendørs swimmingpool, fitnesscenter og bar i Río Dulce. Blandt de forskellige faciliteter på denne ejendom er der fælles opholdsstue, have og grillfaciliteter. The hotel is actually much nicer than the photos. Our room was upgraded and we were given an amazing room right next to the water and marina. The pool is large and very clean, And the food at the restaurant was excellent, really good quality, so although a little more expensive than in some places, it was definitely worth it.

Linda Vista ligger i Rio Dulce, 10 km fra Castillo de San Felipe de Lara. Der tilbydes concierge-service, ikkeryger-værelser, udendørs swimmingpool, gratis wi-fi og restaurant. Amazing stay! If you're coming to Rio Dulce this is the place to stay! Family run, very well kept place. The photos & description on booking.com don't do this place justice - it is much better than we expected! Very clean!! The pool is perfect to cool down & the rooms are spacious. We stayed for 6 nights in the end and many people came only for 1 night. This is the perfect place to slow down and relax if you have been travelling for a while like us - so we advise that you stay here for at least a few nights and enjoy the peacefulness. The owner speaks English - the rest of the staff don't but they are all very friendly and done everything to help us. They will pick you up by boat right at the shuttle stop in Rio so it is a really easy transfer to get there. Every day they took us into the town by a really nice 10 minute boat ride. They can book other trips for you - we went for a boat trip to Livingston. And they also booked our onward shuttle to Guatemala City for us. 10/10 service 👍 Rio Dulce town is crazy. The contrast between the chaos in the town and the tranquility of Linda Vista was perfect for us.

Hotel Real del Rio ligger i Rio Dulce, 5,5 km fra Castillo de San Felipe de Lara, og har pooludsigt. Great location with restaurants nearby. Staff is friendly, nice and helpful.

Hotel y Restaurante La Cabaña el Viajero ligger i Castillo de San Felipe, 1,4 km fra Castillo de San Felipe de Lara. The hotel was beautiful and the food was exceptional!
