In the Rio Dulce river near a 16th century castle the Tortugal Boutique River Lodge peninsula is bathed by almost constant on shore breezes providing a cool and refreshing place. What did we like? All of it! The rooms are tastefully decorated. They were very comfy, despite being in the middle of nature. Attentive staff, picked us up to and fro Rio Dulce. Good food, cold beers. Very refreshing to be able to jump in the river when hot!

El Hotelito Perdido is a little jungle hideaway located in a middle of Rio Dulce National Park. Everything 😊 It’s a little gem of a place in a paradise setting! Food is wonderful and you won’t go hungry that’s for sure. There’s plenty to do and it’s very affordable. The team (staff and owners) is super sweet and always there to help make your stay happy and easy. Thank you for such an amazing stay!!!

Objekat Hotel Posada Stella Maris se nalazi u gradu Puerto Barrios i nudi smeštaj sa 5 zvezdica, kao i vrt i zajednički salon. There is big enough and clean room with nice moutain views balcony. Also there is shared kitchen can be used. Very warm and helpful host. It is located Santo Tomas de castile, easy to take a taxi ( 30 GTQ ) or chicken bus( 3GTQ) from puerto Barrios center. Recommend to take couple days to chill out. There is walkable to beach and waterfall. The accommodation fee all goes to charity.

Perfect place hidden in a small village. It’s the only accommodation in the village and has been build to help the local community. The first language in the village is Q’eqchi, the children are now learning Spanish in school from about age 5. The staff of the hotel is from the village and for them it is a place to learn and work in tourism. They are all very friendly and helpful. If you want to have a great Guatemalan experience in one of the most beautiful places of Guatemala, where the crowds don’t go (yet), this is where you want to go! I reached the hotel by a two hour trail that is insanely beautiful, constructed by the people of the village, easy to follow and a good climb to two wooden miradors with lake and jungle views. Always with the sound of absolutely fantastic river ‘sauce’ on the background. The next day I went down on a tube and they carried my bag down. The tubing in the river is what will drop your yaws!! Absolutely beautiful, a cañón with high Walls on both sides. Everything is well organized and clean. It absolutely worth a visit! I’m writing this review because I could not believe that I was the only tourist there (on a Saturday)! You will not regret your visit and you will probably (hopefully) write a similar review to help this village and the people creating a better future for there town. There are several projects ongoing, including deforestation! Go and enjoy jungle, river and peace while enjoying great food and comfortable accommodation(affordable too!)

A beautiful property in a great location. One of my best vacations. I will definitely return here again. A great place for travelers.

Smeštajni objekat Casa Nostra ima vrt, zajednički salon, terasu i bar u gradu Livingston. Loved the beautiful location. Stuart and Abby were both amazing with advice about activities and logistics. So awesome. I also thought the staff at the restaurant, especially Jose Luis and Fernando who are connected to AK Tenemet, were terrific. Great food too!

Objekat Hotel Kangaroo y Restaurante, koji je smešten u gradu Rio Dulce, ima vrt, zajednički salon, bar i besplatan WiFi u celom objektu. This is an amazing and unique stay. The only way to get to it is by boat and with that, you already know you're in for something unique. The staff were very helpful and helped us with whatever we needed. We stayed in the shared dormitory and it was just amazing

Objekat Hotel La Casa Rosada, koji je smešten u gradu Livingston, ima vrt, terasu, bar i besplatan WiFi u celom objektu. Smeštaj gostima nudi poslugu u sobi, turistički desk i ostavu za prtljag. Everything :) especially the atmosphere, the hosts and the volunteers were extremely helpful and friendly! The beds were Confy, watching the sunrise from the bedroom and the stars from the trampoline just amazing. The owner Ismael did not stop to help us with our Belice day trip. (it was amazing) Thank you :) So anyone who wants to volunteer long or shortterm in a familiar atmosphere :this is your place :) would have loved to do that!

Objekat Hotel El Reformador u gradu Puerto Barrios nudi smeštaj sa 4 zvezdice, kao i vrt, terasu i bar. Breakfast was excellent. We were all super excited about the pillows not being flat like our previous location. Great stay for a quick trip.
