At the end of our stay we also received a bottle of olive oil produced by the family nearby. We were so happy there! The stay itself looks great, it is very stylish , it is extremly clean, very well located and lovely :) We would recommend the stay to everyone planning to visit Rhetymno :)))))) You will feel like a part of a Greek family.

We stayed for a week and it became our home while exploring the island. - as beautiful as the pictures, perfectly clean, peaceful, great breakfast, loved the shower, well isolated rooms, parking available, beautiful pool (though a little cold), subtle music throughout the day, great lightning, mirrors and curtains. - big and small acts of kindness from our hosts - did their best to welcome us a little early, extra coffee and food at breakfast, and just always authentically kind and smiling - we weren't familiar with the surroundings but Chara gave us the best recommendations and we fell in love with it. Believe it or not, the Plakias beach became our favorite beach on the island, especially at sunset

We chose this resort because it had a wonderful sandy beach area for swimming and an included water park for the kids. Because the water park is private to the resort, the lines were very short even during our peak season visit, so each day my kids had their fill within 1.5 hours, which allowed us to enjoy the beach and pools. Since the location is very remote, the all-inclusive package/meals made everything so easy. We found the food to have lots of variety and great quality. Our room was at the very back of the resort, next to the water park, but we still had sweeping sea views, and everything on the property was kept beautifully clean at times.

We had a very enjoyable time at Villa Maris! Communication with our wonderful host Christina was exceptional - advice on local restaurants and places to visit always forthcoming and superb. The villa is well furnished and has a nice little swimming pool. It's a great base to explore beaches or the mountains. What made our stay extra special were the gifts on arrival, wine and raki made by Christina's father, and other food gifts throughout our stay; thoroughly enchanting!
