Staff were so friendly & a special mention to Ben the manager & Lillie & Bea, who went out of their way to make us feel welcome. As a former Hampshire lady myself now living in Denmark, it was so exciting to bring my Danish husband to Wiltshire, a county he hadn’t seen before. The village is so pretty~ it’s a little tricky to get to with all the tiny country roads, but once you find the village you’ve found a little gem in the Wiltshire countryside! Dinner and breakfast were delicious too!

Set in Avebury, 16 km from Lydiard Park, Elderbrook House offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Very warm welcome even though we arrived later than we had informed due to the inevitable roadtripppring unpredictability. The room was spacious and had everything we needed, like electric kettle, mugs, wardrobe, mirror, hairdryer and portable heater. Our room opened to a most gorgeous patio+green area. The hosts were kind and attentive at all times. Hearty breakfast! Great energy! It honestly felt like home. Thank you and see you next year!

This property is good on so many levels, whether you would like to bring your dog or want a luxury stay. Even the dog friendly rooms are pristine and have a lovely welcome pack for your dog. There are separate areas in the hotel for dog friendly breakfasts so non dog lovers can also enjoy their space. The dog friendly areas are by no means second class, in fact we preferred them.

Lucknam Park Hotel and Spa is a spectacular country-house hotel with Michelin Star dining. It is 9.7 km from Bath within a private 500-acre estate with a walled garden. Beautiful English country house hotel - with lovely English country gardens. Staff were a particular strong point. We had a group with numerous dietary requirements which were all met and delivered without any fuss. Service in the Michelin rated dining room was first class at dinner. Very pleasant areas at spa, both inside and outside, to relax in whether or not having treatments. Overall an excellent hotel experience.

Situated in Amesbury, in scenic Wiltshire, The George Hotel, Amesbury, Wiltshire is a 5-minute drive from Stonehenge. We absolutely loved our stay at the The George Hotel, Amesbury. Beautiful accommodation, excellent location ,very recently renovated to the very highest standard. Our room, which faced the front of the Hotel, had large opening windows and was very luxurious. The king size bed was the most comfortable we had experienced in the 6 weeks we had been travelling in the UK. The bathroom, with a shower with a glass door, was perfectly appointed - also loved the bath products. Just a beautiful room, we felt very spoilt. The restaurant and bar areas were also beautifully appointed with luxe decor and sumptuous furnishings. The breakfast was delicious, the staff were very polite, friendly and attentive and went out of their way to attend to our requests. We also enjoyed dinner in the restaurant and, again, the food was absolutely delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay and would highly recommend. We would definitely stay at The George Hotel again.
