Set in a 19th-century building, The Sands Hotel, Orkney is situated along the shore of Scapa Flow in Burray village. It has a bar, a restaurant and beautiful sea views. Clean and well placed and we ate extremely well.

Situated on the Orkney Island, 14 miles from Kirkwall, Smithfield Hotel offers 3-star accommodation with free parking, a bar, and a restaurant. Kirkwall airport is 30 minutes’ drive away. Very warm welcome from staff. The room was spacious, warm and very comfortable with quality bedding and pillows. Very good shower, great cooked breakfast, with choices, and free parking. Nice and quiet, away from the main towns, supermarket and fuel across the road. Central access to island sights. Highly recommend.

Located on the shore of Harray Loch and family-run for over 30 years, the Merkister Hotel is a 15-minute drive from the main towns of Kirkwall and Stromness. Location exceptionnal , views on the Loch. Calm environment. Top restaurant ,very classy. Cleaning perfect ,king size bed, all amenities in the bathroom.

Set in Kirkwall, Orkney, family-run Ayre Hotel & Ayre Apartments overlooks Kirkwall harbour. It offers local produce in its restaurant and traditionally styled rooms, with free Wi-Fi. The continent breakfast was very nice, and the croissants were fresh and very tasty.

The Stromness Hotel is set in Stromness. This hotel offers free WiFi. Ring of Brogdar is 6 km away and Standing Stones of Stenness is 6 km from the hotel. All rooms in the hotel are fitted with a TV. Fantastic central location, especially for the Orkney Folk Festival. Walk everywhere in Stromness. Very comfy bed, warm rooms, strong Wi-fi signal, free parking and great breakfasts every morning. iain and Chrissy were so friendly, welcoming and efficient. We felt a bit sad to leave after such a great week. Although the Stromness Hotel is not licenced, the Ferry Inn, Royal Hotel and British Legion bars are conveniently close.

West End Guest House is set in Kirkwall, 1.2 km from Highland Park Distillery. Free private parking is available onsite. Certain rooms feature a seating area for your convenience. Wonderful breakfast. Kind staff. Great location right near the cathedral.
