The room was clean, comfortable and very well appointed. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We had a very nice evening meal in the restaurant, a cut above the normal pub standard, followed by a a few beers in the bar. The breakfast was very good.

Set in Avebury, 16 km from Lydiard Park, Elderbrook House offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Really friendly hosts who could not have done more for us. The location close to the stone circles in Avebury was a bonus, as we had originally intended just a stop over on the way back to London.

The Bear Hotel is a historic inn set in the charming market town of Hungerford in the heart of the North Wessex Downs. The bed was incredible. The room was lovely and the staff were great too. Would stay again in a heartbeat.
