A 5-minute drive from Bassenthwaite Lake, Ravenstone Manor is an 19th-century manor house set in 3 hectares of ground. The property is at the foot of Skiddaw, overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake. The room was as we expected, with great views. Breakfast, dinner, cheese platter with our drinks upon arrival as we traveled the whole day, a perfect start of our stay. The staff was as friendly and helpful as always and when we had to book an extra night last minute we got the large family room which, although not the great views, you do get red robbins on your windowsill to wake you up which we loved. Hoping to come back again in September.

I loved everything about Cumbrian Lodge. The setting, the room, the hosts, the breakfast were all perfect. There’s loads of parking and the WiFi is excellent. Definitely recommended. Vi likte beliggenheten, spiseområde og det hyggelige personalet. Vi bodde i The Lodge som var meget behagelig med fine rom og god plass. Absolutt verdt prisen. Frokosten var også meget god med godt utvalg. Vi spiste middag en kveld og den var god med store porsjoner, og verdt prisen.

Very cosy room (303) even had a little balcony. Breaky was delicious with plenty of self serve items and the a cooked breakfast of your choice. Restaurant food was pretty good as well. Fabulous lounge area with so many chesterfield lounges. Beautiful village

The food was amazing, the hotel itself had beautiful facilities, we particularly liked the lounge and we loved the spa. I liked the art work and the little wall decals were cute and funny. The staff were impeccable very friendly and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
