The host had supplied fresh eggs from her hens, local cheese, oatcakes aswell as some local beer. Lots of information supplied in a book in the lodge along with maps. Fully stocked with everything you could need. The lodge was very clean. The sheep's, hens and other animals all come up to the lodge which we thoroughly enjoyed. A break away from internet and distractions was a dream.

On Scotland’s far west coast, The Mission Bunkhouse in Mallaig offers simple hostel accommodation right opposite the train station and seconds from the Caledonian MacBrayne ferry terminal. Location was directly across from the train station. As Mallaig is quite small, shopping and restaurants ("The Bakehouse" for breakfast, "The Cabin Restaurant" for supper (after the "Harry Potter" train departs)) are all located within 2 or 3 blocks. Sharing a bathroom with the other 2 or 3 rooms was not an issue, as it was kept very clean.
