Lovely little touches that made the difference. Delicious breakfast. Really close to Coniston with lots of restaurants, bars and shops.

Located in Coniston, just a short walk the to village centre, The Apartments Coniston features apartments, each containing lounge, dining and kitchen areas. The property was in the perfect location near the centre of Coniston. It was very clean, comfortable and the owners were very friendly and welcoming.

Offering a barbecue and views of the mountains, Wheelgate is set in Torver. Every room is equipped with a flat-screen TV. Certain rooms feature a seating area to relax in after a busy day. We had a most enjoyable stay with Stuart and Sandy. Our cottage was nice and cosy (loved the sheep themed decoration!) and featured a well equipped kitchen (which we didn't use appart from the kettle as we preffered to visit the pubs in Torver and Coniston). Stuart provided us with a delicious breakfast every morning (we were offered a choice of salmon and scramble eggs and the traditional full cooked and there were fruits and joghurts as well as cereals). It's not far from the lake and ideal for hiking the Coniston fells - the Old Man of Coniston can be done right from the doorstep. We also enjoyed the company of Tommy the cat and the three very friendly Golden Retrievers after breakfast, so that's an additional bonus for cat and dog lovers.

Located in the lakeland village of Coniston, Meadowdore Cafe B&B offers free WiFi access and free on-site parking. The B&B was very cosy and I thought Frances was very kind and helpful. I enjoyed chatting with her about the area.

Situated in a quiet corner of the English Lakes, the Bluebird Lodge offers free private parking and free Wi-Fi in public areas. It is just 15 minutes’ walk from the village of Coniston. Our stay was brilliant, excellent location between Coniston old man and the lake. The hosts were super lovely and welcoming. The room was clean and just what we needed for two nights. Breakfast was lovely and tasted great. Can not recommend enough!

Stunning Holiday Home - Puddleduck - Centre of Coniston is set in Coniston, 45 km from Muncaster Castle, 46 km from Wasdale, as well as 47 km from Askham Hall. Location and well equipped for a short stay. There was a problem with the keys caused by previous occupants but Adam went beyond to sort out. Owners extremely helpful.

Featuring mountain views, Bank Top Cottage Coniston features accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 15 km from Lake Windermere. What a wonderful view from the excellent patio with an elevated tranquil position overlooking Consiton water in the distance. Sitting on a warm June evening gazing out over the view and sipping a glass of wine - life doesn't get much better.
