We would recommend this hotel to anyone that wants all of the things you want when your away from home, our dogs were comfortable as well.

On the banks of the River Thurso in the village of Halkirk, this hotel is a 10-minute drive from Thurso town centre. It is built from Caithness stone, and has free Wi-Fi and free parking on site. Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location right by the river. The staff were wonderful and the food fabulous. The breakfast was huge and delicious. If you want a place to stay away from the crowds on the NC500, I highly recommend staying at this hotel.
