An amazing building with fascinating history. Very well converted into a 5-star hotel. Location is quite isolated, Canfranc seems full of locked-up ski rental apartments and little else. The nearest 'proper' city is Zaragoza, 2 hours drive away. The hotel will really come into its own when/if the rail connection with Pau is completed - in 2024? The restaurant was excellent and surprisingly inexpensive - 60€ for 2 courses and a bottle of house wine for 2. Even better, they have a young wine waiter/esse who resembles a young Brigitte Bardot!

The location was great with a wonderful hike nearby. The restaurant was a few doors away and was open for breakfast. The staff was very welcoming and we enjoyed a comfortable nights rest after a long hike.

Hotel Edelweiss is located 50 meters from the Candanchú chairlift, and only 2 km. from the Astun station, in the Aragonese Pyrenees. This is the best hotel that I’ve ever stayed! Staffs are very friendly and kind. In the restaurant, I highly recommend eating the pizza!

The hosts are very proud of what they do and cater to everything I needed. They even found me a ride to the highway. They have a beautiful spot in the mountains and their beer is excellent. Some of the other guests had been there before, which says a lot considering how many great destinations there are just in the Pyrenees.
