Decked seating and table area by the river for eating. The very pretty village has two supermarkets and several bars/restaurants so the ideal place for a Camino stopover. It is directly on the trail.

Offering a seasonal outdoor pool and views of the mountain, La Casa Grande Del Valle is located in El Valle, 22 km from Ponferrada and in El Bierzo area. Quiet and the lady who owns the place is very friendly and hospitable. Perfect place to stay with a motorcycle especially after a hard day in the mountains. Really great dinner provided with a nice glass of wine. Bikes can be parked safely in their garage.

Stopped here with a friend as we tour on motorbike. Host had no English but translated using her phone which was appreciated. Allowed us park our bikes out back with cover. Place was immaculate and the owner cooked us an amazing breakfast. Genuine host and place was charming and nice to get away from busier places for a night.

Maria the daughter of the house went out of her way to ensure our stay was enjoyable as possible, making recommendations for outings and phone calls to arrange a winery visit (difficult as harvest time) and lunch, and bringing hot water for our morning tea. excellent local wines and very good local traditional food.

Beautiful place, hidden in a small town. The owners are very welcoming and eager to help you with whatever there is. The dinner cooked by the owner was delicious, and the wines amazing. Make sure to try out the dessert!
