It was away from the tourist area of port ghalib but only 20 minutes by car if you wanted to go there. there is a private beach and jetty where you can snorkel off and a diving centre next to it if you want to go diving. All the staff were incredibly friendly and treated us like family, helped organise everything we needed. We decided to hitchhike as is very common to do so there and gave us more freedom with to stopping off at places and meeting locals but if you don’t want to do that they can easily organise transport. The place itself has everything you need there to relax and wind down. excursions can be organised from the hotel. the nearest town is Marsa alam about 15 minutes drive which is currently not touristy and gives you a taste of actual life there but not a lot there. We walked for miles along the beach to different coves although you have an amazing reef on your doorstep, do be mindful that some beaches are privately owned by resorts though and security will not let you through. The chef, mahamoud is incredible, every meal was amazing, 5* food ate like royalty! 3 course dinner every evening with set menu but I’m a vegetarian so he did me vegetarian options. Fathy who works in the bar looked after us so well and we have made a lovely friend. I do not often go back to the same place on holiday as I like to explore but we will definitely be back here!

Enjoyable and memorable The resort is an oasis in the desert with a modern landscape and tropical plants that are rare in Egypt. At check-in, we were warmly welcomed by Ali, the reception manager. Housekeeping people are very creative, and the towel job is amazing. The ambience, service and food at the restaurant are above and beyond. Shrimp salad and grilled salmon are an absolute masterpiece! The studio had a comfy bed and pillows, a full kitchen and a washing machine, all brand new. Smart TV with Netflix, and high-speed Internet inside the room. To be fair, we never had these services even in the fanciest 5-star hotels in Egypt.
