Beautiful setting, clean, calm, friendly attentive staff, close to both town center and castle ruins, spa included, satisfying menu, espresso.

4-star Grand Hotel Viljandi is located in the center of Viljandi town. It offers Art Deco rooms with free Wi-Fi, a mini-bar and period furniture. Staff at reception were friendly and helpful, and all spoke excellent English. I booked a single room but it was spacious, with a comfortable bed, lots of wardrobe space and an opening window. Loved the bathroom - big shower with ample hot water and good water pressure, and plenty of counter space for toiletries. Shampoo/body wash, conditioner, soap and a shower cap were supplied. There was also a TV and mini bar but I didn't use either. The area was quiet and the hotel close to a bus stop to/from the train station. The coach station and shopping centre was only 15 minutes walk also, and many sights and restaurants/cafes easily reached on foot. As a solo female traveller who went out to an evening event while in town and returned late on foot, I found both the hotel and the area in general felt very safe. The inclusive breakfast buffet was extremely good and had plenty of choice.

Vaibla Holiday Center is located on the banks of Lake Võrtsjärv, the second largest lake in the Baltic Countries. Normal breakfast; nothing fancy, but not bad at all.

Conveniently located on the third floor of the Centrum shopping center, this modern hotel can easily be found in the center of Viljandi. Perfect hotel for business trip.

Endla Hotell is located in a quiet, yet central area of Viljandi. Free Wi-Fi access is available. Rooms here will provide you with a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a seating area. A very affordable, cozy hotel near the Viljandi centrum. Perfect for a short stay. Breakfast was fairly good. Also possible to use the sauna for an extra fee, though I didn't have time to test it out.

Auksi puhkemaja-1 is located in Auksi, just 7.3 miles from Estonian Traditional Music Centre and 7.3 miles from Viljandi Suspension Bridge. Great little hide away with beautiful lake views. Located close to Viljandi and on a main route. Cabin was well setup and sauna was great. Host was very accommodating and we really appreciated that they were able to accept a last minute booking.
