Perfect location for stopover. The hotel is perfectly clean and very well designed. Small kitchenette in the room is an asset. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast very good and served with great creativity. This place was much more beyond our expectations. Highly recommended - we stay only one night but everything was just perfect,

Located in Wolframs-Eschenbach, 49 km from Nürnberg Convention Center, Hotel Alte Vogtei provides accommodation with a terrace, free private parking, a restaurant and a spa and wellness centre. 30 minutes drive from Nuremberg, and you are in tiny medieval town of Wolframs-Eschenbach. It looks like it was built for knights movie or medieval festival. it is as small as some 300meters in diameter, inclosed in city wall with guarding towers. In a very center you find Alte Vogtei hotel, in classical Franconian timber-framed house. But don't be mistaken, the hotel's inside is very modern and very well designed, even elevator is there. Rooms are comfortable and very clean, with spacious bathroom with shower. Bed is large, mattress is on the hard side, different pillows to chose from, also the quietness of town ensures great sleep. Hotel's staff is very helpful and attentive. Breakfast is really good, quality choice of different coffee from machine, juices, freshly baked breads, bacon, sausages, boiled and scrambled eggs, different cheese and hams, and many more. Nice wellness in basement, with two saunas, one of them is relly good, infrared room and water massage bed, all icluded in stay price. But true gem of Alte Vogtei is it's restaurant, which honestly deserves Michelin star or two. Local, European and even Oriental cuisine is exceptional. Good choice of Bavarian beers. Note, the kitchen takes orders until 8:30pm, so be in time. Free parking on site or nearby. Overall pleasant and relaxing stay.

Everything from checking in and the room was lovely , immaculately clean, very comfortable bed, air con , young man on reception very friendly and the bar very nice to sit in at night. Breakfast very nice too.

Nice, comfortable Gasthaus. We stopped there one night on our way from Berlin to Italy. Quiet, comfortable, convenient. Very kind host. It also provide very good dinner with German and Russian dishes. All home cooked and delicious. We will certainly consider for future stops :-)

Location in a very beautiful natural area, ca 40 km away from Nurnberg Messe, 30-40 minutes by car. Silent area, green, excellent food at good prices. Hosts very friendly. Rooms spacious, bathroom big. Breakfast typical German.

Spacious quiet room with a sofa and a view onto the castle. Nice Easter decorations in the hallway. Despite being the only guests that night there was an excellent breakfast buffet with some delicious muesli porridge. The restaurant serves tasty local carp.

Excellent location (the coordinates on Booking.com aren't correct). Superbe breakfast. We had excellent dinner at the hotel the evening of our stay. Not only is the owner an excellent cook, but also a good entertainer with an amazing culture; however don't be in a hurry, plan 60 to 90 min. for dinner.
