First and foremost, Monschau's idyllic setting nestled in the Eifel region was nothing short of breathtaking. Surrounded by lush forests and rolling hills, the town felt like a fairytale come to life. The property is a charming half-timbered house, accessed from cobblestone streets and beside the gushing Rur River added to its undeniable allure.

The staff was soo friendly and helpful. They made the check in very easy. They showed us personally to our suite and gave us directions and recommendations of where to eat and sightsee. The room was clean, beautiful, and very comfortable. It truly exceeded out expectations.

The bathroom had a rain showerhead and was bigger than my master bathroom. The room was really big and has a kitchen also. I just wished I could have stayed longer.

The beds, pillows and duvets were SO COMFORTABLE! We've stayed in a lot of hotels etc but these beds were the most comfortable by far. The surroundings were really nice and quiet. Black out blinds to block out the sun when sleeping.

Everything was clean and looked proper. The host was very friendly and gave some good tips for attractions to visit close by (for instance Vogelsang IP). And the location is perfect, hiking trails start right around the corner and there is a restaurant within 5 minutes walking distance where delicious schnitzels (and other dishes) are served.

I only used this hotel as a short stop on my way to Southern Europe, but I am sure that it has a lot more to offer. The rooms are spacious and have a balcony that offers a great view over the valley. Staff is typically German: correct and very friendly. Breakfast is a nice buffet, and the looks of the restaurant and the staff bringing the drinks add some luxury. These are clearly people who love running a hotel. I will choose this hotel again if I ever visit the Eifel region in the future.

Breakfast was just right. Continental, plus fried or scrambled eggs as a bonus. Rooms were really clean. Considering the regulations, we were made really welcome and the Hotel is perfect for all types of activity. Cycling, hiking or just enjoying the Eifel. We could also store our e-bikes overnight. You can easily plan a ship tour of the Rursee from here as the ship anchor here overnight.

The location was perfect for visiting Heimbach and nearby places in Eifel park. The apartment was opposite the castle and very cosy. The kitchen had what we needed for a few days stay. (Parking space for cars is limited in front of the apartment. The nearby public parking space is free from 18.00h to 08.00h. Between 08.00 to 18.00h it has 2 hour limit.) We had a pleasant stay here.

This was a clean, well-equipped apartment in a peaceful rural setting on the edge of a village in the middle of the Eifel mountains. It was very well located for hiking and cycling tours.
