Take the stroll trough the botanic garden which is very nice. Definitely should have stayed one more night to enjoy it

Amazing place in the forrest, the owner is a very nice and helpful, we stayed in a wooden cabin with a fire place, it was just perfect.

We ordered the typical breakfast (gallo pinto, eggs, etc); it was delicious and sufficient in size. It was also served with fresh tropical fruit and good coffee. The views at this hotel are beautiful, nestled into nature!

Michael took us to a local farm that participates in a quetzal population restoration project. We saw at least six quetzals.

Las Bromelias Lodge has garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Paso Macho, 28 km from Cerro de la Muerte. Beautiful location, plenty of space to sleep, relax, have meals plus great views. Very helpful staff that visited the house while we were away and prepared fireplace for us after we used wood the day before. Perfect location to explore Savegre forest and this area. In the cottage we found a contact to very good, profesional birdwatching guide.
