Very friendly staff! We arrived at 10 pm and they arranged a tour for us for the next day, including a private guide. In the morning they were so kind to make us a lunch package as we were leaving early. Pool is very good

She helped me organizing a tour to the desert with an amazing guide, I could stay one more night without problems and also the rest of the staff is really nice. the room was clean and the bed comfortable, it has AC, breakfast included and there is also a pool. I definitely recommend staying here!

Friendly staff who emulate the openness and kindness of the rest of the small town, this place had a lovely clean pool, room and working air conditioning which is important in the humidity of the area. And fantastic breakfasts!

Really liked the bamboo style, the tree in the middle, waking up with birds, the breakfast on the terrasse slow you slow morning in a nice atmosphere!

He responds quick, is very kind and helps to make the best out of your trip in Tatacoa. The dinner and breakfast are very tasty, the location in the desert is magic and his 2 dogs are lovely as well. In addition to this, he can arrange a guide for both the red and the grey desert and this guide is very good as well, definately don’t skip the grey part of the desert, it’s beautiful and if you are lucky like us, you can spot a lot of animals! We give John a 10+!

You honestly couldn't ask for better people. The staff were muy amable (gentle, kind, helpful). The hostel is local, thoughtfully put together and in an awesome location. We walked to the observatory and a local restaurant, that is, when we weren't eating Norma's amazing food the hostel. Also, is as advertised. So, yes, it's rustic. This isn't a luxury stay. The place runs on solar power, which they save up during the day so that the guests can have the fans running at night. The bathrooms are a bit dingy but they are clean. Having a local experience with such warm people more than made up for the loss of a few creature comforts. Maul gave us a tour of both deserts and he was energetic, friendly, and super knowledgeable. If you don't have any Spanish language, you probably won't get the full experience here, but there were several guests with virtually no Spanish and the staff still went out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay.
