Hotel Las Islas has an outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre, a garden and terrace in Baru. Amazing concept with the inidvidual tree houses. It was SUCH a great experience. Ideal for a romantic getaway, if you're not too shy to climb a few stairs.

Hotel Playa Scondida is a rustic-style lodge on Baru Island, 1 hour from Cartagena by motorboat. Everything! As you arrive through a small wicker door , you are met by Sergio and his delightful wife Lucrecia . Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are spotlessly clean , cotton sheets and a cosy blanket if needed and fluffy towels, and really lovely soap, shampoo in the bathroom. The beach and gardens were beautiful. I had an in house massage which was one of the best that I have ever had , and all the better for the fact that Jess set up in my room so super safe and relaxing .My husband and I had a wonderful stay , thanks to the whole team... xxx n

NENA BEACH CLUB & HOTEL features an outdoor swimming pool, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Baru. A few steps from Playa Blanca, the hotel provides a bar and water sports facilities. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The pool was a great way to escape the midday heat and crowds on the beach. The food was well prepared. I appreciated that there was always somewhere for hotel guests to sit and relax, even with day time visitors.

Located in Baru and with Playa Blanca reachable within 200 metres, Cristal Blue Barú provides concierge services, non-smoking rooms, a terrace, free WiFi and a restaurant. Staff was amazing, especially Rosio! 😁 Location and beach were perfect, at the calm part of the beach.

The staff is so kind and hospitable. The food is amazing, I felt right at home. Feels private but not too isolated.

Posada donde Uriel Playa tranquila is located in Baru, a few steps from Playa Blanca. The hotel has a terrace and sea views, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant or a drink at the bar. We stayed two nights at Uriel's newly constructed pool villa "Casa Cafur" in the nearby town in Santa Ana, and spent the days at his Playa Tranquila beach house (quiet part of playa Blanca) Strong winds damaged most of the beach earlier that week so we were unable to spend the night as planned but Uriel saved our vacation with his pool villa, then we got to spend the days anyway at Playa Blanca so it was the best of both worlds. The beach is a quick 6000 peso ride from the villa. Let me tell you, when you enter Casa Cafur you realize you are entering somewhere special. You get that "wow" feeling once you enter the doors. It's a peaceful paradise, and feels totally private. He keeps the pool clean, and the cocktails are delicious! His staff are totally cool and they take care of everything like the richest resort. I proposed to my girlfriend at his beach house (posada donde Uriel) and when we returned to Casa Cafur, Uriel cooked us lobster and shrimp, champagne and we had the whole place to ourselves. Music, hammocks, cocktails and a clean pool. The village of Santa Ana is cool too, we drank and danced with the locals and sharwd way too many dollar beers. I trust Uriel and will always come back! Thank you Uriel for a special 3 days.

Set in Playa Blanca, Hotel Calamari Baru offers beachfront accommodation a few steps from Playa Blanca and offers various facilities, such as a terrace, a restaurant and a bar. This is easily the best hotel of all Playa Blanca. Staff are extremely nice. The prices are fair. Location on the beach is just great. The food is awesome. This is truly a paradise.

SABAI Beach features 200 metres of private white sand beach and free WiFi access in public areas. It is located in Barú Peninsula (an island), 20 minutes’ drive from Barbacoas Bay. It is just such a beautiful place, natural and tranquil. The staff are fantastic, very nice and attentive, they made our stay very special. We would like to thank David, Chris, Raul and Luz and all the other staff - they were like friends. The beach and water is outstanding, the best we have ever tried. We will come back soon again. It was very hard to leave this magical place
