Staff are exceptional.They are friendly,helpful and would go out of the way to help their guest.A special thank you to two staff members,, Zoey and Ivy. Zoey helped us to liaise with our tour guide as we had no means to make local phone calls.She was always cheerful and happily offered her help. Ivy ,a very kind and caring young lady ,accompanied us to the local hospital when we had a medical emergency..She did this on her own time.She helped us to translate and navigate through the procedures in a Chinese hospital.It would have been difficult without her help.We are forever grateful to Ivy.

Situated in the heart of Lijiang Ancient Town, 7 to 8 minutes' walk from Dashuiche and Square Street, Jianshe Inn offers simple Japanese-style accommodation. Great inn in the heart of Lijiang old town. The room was comfortable and clean, and the staff was nice and provided great recommendations to enjoy the city and its surroundings. It is a quiet inn with amazing view on the old city.

Only a short 1-minute stroll from Shuhe Ancient Town, The Bivou features accommodation in local and modern styles combined together. Cosy, welcoming ambience. Great food. Friendly, helpful staff. Delightful owner who took the time and trouble to meet up with us and even packed up a couple of packets of delicious peanuts to take with us on our train journey to Kunming. Loved the location - it was near the ancient town of Shuhe and a pretty park area where we spent a great couple of hours.
