Breakfast was good, I asked for eggs and it made my meal great again :) we were there for one night. There was also parking available for free.

Located in the centre of Sachseln, 200 metres from Lake Sarnen and the train station, the family-run Gasthaus Engel features a Gault Millau-awarded restaurant serving Swiss and international cuisine. This was a wonderful place. I recommend it highly. Be sure to have dinner, it was wonderful.

Situated right in front of the Melchsee-Frutt Cable Car, Gasthaus Waldhaus is a traditional guesthouse that enjoys a central position in Melchtal. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good with enough to make a couple of extra sandwiches for lunch.

Located on the southern shore of Lake Sarnen, the historic Landgasthof Zollhaus is a traditional family-run property for 160 years. Welcoming and kind stuff, good breakfast, good location if you travel by car.

This elegant hotel is located only a 15-minute drive from Lucerne and a 2-minute walk from the train station. It offers modern wellness facilities, free parking and a large terrace. On my request I was given homemade vegan spreads for breakfast. Vegan breakfast in a hotel 10/10

Built in 1896 in the Art Nouveau style, the historic Jugendstilhotel Paxmontana, standing on a hill in a beautiful location in the Canton of Obwalden, has won many awards. breakfast was generous and full of options. eggs were only available after 9am due to internal meetings before..I thought that was rather unusual.

It was nice to have a couple of days to relax in the spa since travelling Europe. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel which allows wasy access to the train station. Staff were lovely and the food was great. Would highly recommend!

20 km south of Lucerne, with the Sarner lake and mountains right before the door, this hotel charmingly combines a historic building with modern styling and up-to-date facilities. Just about everything was perfect - a lovely old hotel that has been tastefully updated. Room exactly as expected, quiet and comfortable. Bathroom modern and real glass drinking glasses were provided. Dinner was excellent at the restaurant, breakfast the usual buffet but well done. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Location perfect just up the street from the lake and the center but very quiet neighborhood.
