La Fleur de Lys is housed in a 350 year-old building right in the center of the medieval town of Gruyère, 1312 feet from Gruyère Castle, the Giger Museum and the Tibet Museum. I stayed for 3 nights. Everything was exceptionally good here. I highly recommend this place. Check-in and out: smooth, fast and easy Staff: always nice, kind and helpful Breakfast: the best. They make daily bread and pastries right there right before serving. They serve all kinds of müsli, cereals, fruits, juices and local cheeses (to name a few). Rooms: mine was spacious with a lot of storage, clean and with a nice view. Beds were comfy. The common guest room was the cherry on top. I could wake up very early for my morning walk and have some coffee there even before the breakfast was served.

I stayed in this hotel for a long period after finishing a renting contract. The employees of the hotel were extremely kind and comprehensive regarding the special situation. They could manage to provide me extra support on some specific requests. The view over the prealps from Gruyere is fantastic (Moleson, Dent du Chamois), the breakfast was excellent. It was a pleasure to end a 3 years stay in the canton of Fribourg in this charming hotel, during Christmas time. Thank you to the team!

We love this boutique hotel to pieces. It is not the first time we stayed here and it's definitely not gonna be the last. The staff is super-friendly and helpful. We had a big room overlooking the main pedestrian street. The room was clean, nicely decorated and quiet. The bed was very comfy. We appreciated the coffee and tea facilities in the room. We also appreciated a lot the bar on the ground floor that served very good beer and very good flammkuchen until relatively late. Parking is very easy to find if one follows the hotel instructions. We positively regretted that we only booked one night.

We were over the moon that there was a large fan in our room during the heatwave days of July. The staff was pleasant, kind and accommodating. The breakfast coffee was superb, the best I've had in my many visits to Switzerland.

Authentic character and charm. The entire staff could not have been nicer— Patrick was amazing! It was a rare chance to stay in a castle with amazing grounds, just a mile away from historic Murten - Morat. We loved every minute of our stay!
