The room was comfortable, roomy, and very clean. The pool and gym were good. The location of the hotel was quiet and convenient.

Joe is a charming, interesting and knowledgeable host. He and Christopher create a warm and inviting refuge for the traveller in this magnificent example of early 1900’s architecture. Their home has fascinating art pieces, a delightful reading nook, and a relaxing lounge room. The bedrooms are beautifully appointed. Ours was called the Dragonfly. It provided modern amenity in a classic style. The bed was sumptuous (sorry, forgot to take a photo). A coffee machine and spa bath were provided. Breakfast is “an occasion” -beautifully set table for the guests to share conversation while eating a well proportioned and delicious meal carefully prepared by Christopher. This was the final night of our travels and I could not imagine a more apt place to enjoy our last taste of Maritime Hospitality. Treat yourself!!

Welcoming hosts who were understanding about Cyclone Fiona disrupting my schedule. I also spilt red wine on the white carpet and they were super nice about it. The breakfast was generous and varied. I would stay again.

Lighthouse Motel and Cottages er staðsett við sjávarbakkann í Conquerall Bank, við ána LaHave og býður upp á beinan aðgang að litlu strandsvæði. Everything. Staff was exceptional. Rooms are adorbs; not your mainstream decor. Loved the wood floors and wood tray ceiling. The kitchen was well provisioned. Trish was forthcoming with extra activities. She shared info for a FREE ferry that crossed the LaHave River in the way to Lunnenberg-the scenic route, for sure. That was very cool. This is just one example of how they go out of the way to please. She also gave us a heads up on a pontoon boat ride on the LaHave River, leaving from the hotel. We could not make the appointed time. 😔. No problem, Captain Jim gave us our own private boat ride. He was very knowledgeable about the river and the people. It was the highlight of our stay. Beds were very comfy. Trish went the extra mile to make sure our stay was extra special. I would book a stay here again and again and again. 🫶
