Stay in Quebec or drive an hour into New Brunswick. Do not stay in Cambellton! Our experience at the Comfort Inn and at Walmart were not good. Would suggest staying in another town.
A quaint little town on New Brunswick's east coast is a must stop on your tour of the eastern provinces! The Lobster Capital is full of restaurants with great views of the water and full of memories!
St. John is a nice town, small enough to get around easily and lots to see. The people are so friendly. We enjoyed Market Square which is the location of the Public Library and the New Brunswick Museum. It is also the site of a number of good restaurants. We particularly enjoyed St. John Ale House and Grannan's. The town has lots of historical sites as well being on the Bay of Fundy with its incredible tides.
My husband and I took a late autumn trip up to New Brunswick as we had never been. And while the weather was cold and cloudy, we couldn't help fall in love with St. Andrews. It's a quaint little fishing village and old timey downtown. Definitely a place we want to revisit in the summer.
Hidden gem of New Brunswick scenery! Close to the Sugarloaf Provincial Park which offers a mountain hike with amazing views of the city by entrance behind the local hospital. Cheap realestate compared to other cities in the Maritimes.
Beautiful town close, but not too close, to the major highway that connect the three Maritime Provinces. Great place to stay en route to Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island.
I have been to Saint John many times, but have only spent extended stays in the city in the last couple of years. It is intensely walkable, with a combination of Loyalist history, Victorian features, college-town vibe, and working-town drive. The broad streets, especially in "uptown", seem more ample than the traffic flow requires. There are pocket parks where it is great just to sit and watch and listen to the city. On certain evenings the city centre is filled with action and events, but even on an ordinary night there is a good feeling to Saint John. Don't miss the New Brunswick Museum, the City Market, and the Saint John Theatre Company.
We went to St. John, New Brunswick, to see the Bay of Fundy. Every 12 hours more water flows into and out of the Bay of Fundy than flows in all the rivers in the world — 115 billion tonnes of water flow in and out of the bay. The tide range is 45 feet!! We also watched the tidal change at Advocate Harbour, Nova Scotia, where the entire harbor emptied at low tide and the fishing boats were setting in the mud.
Place was close to the park. The cabin they gave us was a dump! The one they switched us to was a bit better but beneath US standards. We've rented cabins for 30+ years and this was the worst one yet. The Kouchibouguac park is nice but you can see it in one day, especially as limited as bike rentals and other activities are after Labor Day. I found New Brunswick to be far less attuned to the needs of visitors, they're in no rush to provide the things people want. NS and PEI were more enterprising. One terrific place was Chez Cinq Etoiles, right in St. Louis de Kent. The chef is talented and makes a killer seafood pizza! Great beer on tap, too.
St Andrews is an amazing little jewel in New Brunswick Canada. Many great eateries can be found here, incredible live original music at some of the pubs and restaurant, as well as cafes. Bed breakfasts are scattered around town and an easy walk from one end of this ocean village to the other. I highly recommend St Andrews for the young and old.
This hotel far exceeded the price I paid for it. My husband and I were really impressed with everything about the hotel. Our room was so comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was really good and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. This is a new hotel and so many thoughtful ideas were implemented. The separate toilet from the bathroom/shower room is an example of this. It was just off the Tans Canada so perfect for people travelling through to the Maritimes or other areas of New Brunswick or vice versa.
We after driving 12 hours from Kingston Ontario to St. John New Brunswick were expecting a much cleaner hotel. The pictures on the net are deceiving. The room was small, smelled bad and the the pool and hot tub were disgusting! So much foam around the hot tub, during a time period when we are all worried about getting the virus. I think you need to hire cleaning staff.
It is my favourite hotel to stay at in New Brunswick by far, the facilities are top tier, very clean and unique, I have stayed here multiple times and have had a fabulous experience every single time. Our room was gorgeous, it had a balcony and a beautiful view of the city, it is close to various amenities like pumphouse brewing!
Such an amazing hotel in a beautiful town, St. Andrews. An amazing way to end our tour of Nova Scotia, heading back through New Brunswick to the States. Would love to have spent the whole week there. Great place for a week long stay.
Saint Leonard
The motel was very accommodating and very welcoming. I would recommend to this hotel for an overnight stay as you're travelling through New Brunswick to your destination. Book ahead of time as this site can fill up quickly.
Located right off the TransCanada, perfect cross the Quebec/New Brunswick stop over to rest up & Gas up and feed your munchies for the next morning drive. It’s important that it’s dog friendly too!🙌🐾
Terrific spot and hotel. A MUST for anyone visiting New Brunswick
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were nice. Beds were comfortable. And the breakfast was great! Not huge but enough for us to enjoy and get fuelled for the day!
The incredible friendliness and helpfulness of the front desk staff.
I love that you check in and don’t have to leave for anything. Meals are on site. Entertainment is on site.
Perfect Location to go shop and restaurants. Great Price.
Food from the restaurant was great , staff was friendly and full of info about the area, and the pool was a great way to relax after the day.
Large property with beautiful view.
Attractive, comfortable lodgings in a beautiful waterfront location. It is in walking distance to the town of St Andrews in one direction and some pleasant walking trails in the other. The owners were very helpful. We enjoyed this, our second stay, and we will return.
