Set 4 km from Queen Elizabeth Park, Lamanai Hotel & Marina features free WiFi access in public areas, barbecue and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant or a drink at the bar. Good location near the road to Lamanai off of the Northern Highway. Rooms were basic but clean and comfortable. Hot shower. Staff was helpful and responsive. We enjoyed drinks an appetizers at the restaurant/bar overlooking the water. Parking off the highway in a gated area.

Right on the river with great birding opportunities. The bar served a great virgin pina colada and made a terrific vegetable quesadilla which was the best I’ve had.

Royal Properties Link is situated in Crooked Tree. The air-conditioned accommodation is 49 km from Altun Ha, and guests can benefit from private parking available on site and free WiFi. The house was spacious with two separate bedrooms, a large living room with a couch and love seat, TV and a dining room table set for four. The kitchen had all of the amenities including a washer and dryer. But the best was an orange male iguana in the backyard. The lagoon and various restaurants and Kenn's market are within walking distance. Definitely off the beaten path for those that like the sounds of birds and an occasional howler monkey!
