Very warm and welcoming. they were not phased by us being soaking wet and pretty grubby after a long day on bikes in the rain. All our kit was washed for us too .

Housed in a mansion from 1838, the small Hotel Royal Astrid is set on Keizersplein Square, within 200 metres from the Aalst's central Market Square. It offers free WiFi, a bar and a terrace. We arrived on bicycles and were immediately told there was storage area on terrace. Nice selection for breakfast. Service was excellent. Room very comfortable.

The 4-star Keizershof Hotel is situated in the centre of Aalst, just over a 10-minute walk from Aalst Railway Station. There is free Wi-Fi throughout. I booked many hotels while on vacation to Belgium, but Keizershof Hotel Aalst was by far the most impressive. The lightings were plenty, bed comfortable, everything in the room was clean. The room design was modern but also not too weird. The staff went above and beyond to help me locate a restaurant. Enuela thank you! And as personal bonus; the room had plenty of electrical outlet plug in conveniently placed.
