Nestled in the heart of the historic Hobart waterfront, MACq 01 is a luxurious hotel that combines premium accommodation with unforgettable storytelling. absolutely beautiful hotel with very spacious room and exceptional layout. They paid attention to every detail of the room, used fritz hansen for chair and dyson lamp. they do not skimp ! Feels truly luxurious. And these days, space is truly a luxury rarely afforded for travelers. Very friendly check in staff and all staff in general. complimentary valet parking too. i wish we had more time to spend at this hotel. I sincerely hope the hotel would expand to other cities in the world. I would stay at any of their hotels in a heartbeat.

Sitting alongside Hobart's waterfront, the historic Henry Jones Art Hotel offers luxurious rooms offering water or courtyard views. The location, room, hotel staff and general facilities were perfect. Also the artwork displayed were nice. There are very good restaurants nearby and Hobart's waterfront was gorgeous. We had a perfect stay. All our needs were perfectly met.

Beautifully furnished. Toilet was huge with a bathtub and all the required amenities! Would definitely return again!

This historic property was built in 1906 and has been refurbished to highlight the original fireplaces and stained glass windows. very comfortable and quite. Very quite in a nice neighborhood and great views. it is a short walk to the historic shops, restaurants and historic docks area. the owner and his staff were extremely friendly. we arrived early and he, and his staff, were really flexible in making sure we were settled and ready to enjoy Hobart. We loved the complimentary kitchen larder for a quick morning bite and the evening port in the parlor.

Tasmanien är vackert och trevligt att resa runt i. Hobart är en lagom stor stad att strosa omkring i. MONA ett måste!

En trevlig plats med intressant historia på Tasmaniens västkust. Vid Strahan Holiday Retreat finns en liten servering med affär, öppen från tidig morgon till sen kväll. Mat kunde vi laga på rummet men åt också på restaurang vid hamnen, där finns flera trevliga ställen. Badstranden är bra och skyddad inne i den stora lagunen utanför Strahan. Båtturen Gordon River Cruise är en fin upplevelse och ångtåget mellan Strahan och Queenstown är fantastiskt. Vi tog heldagsturen tur och retur och det var inte tråkigt en enda minut. Upp för branta stigningar, genom regnskog och över raviner och floder. Trevliga stopp med utflykter och utomordentlig servering på tåget.

Trevlig mindre stad med vackert läge vid havet och omgivande berg. Den äldre stadsdelen Battery Point kan vi speciellt rekommendera. Där finns flera bra restauranger som bl a serverar japansk och nepalesisk mat. Men man ska inte enbart stanna i Hobart utan åka runt i omgivningarna. Tasmanien har fantastisk natur. Vi tog bussen till Ross, ett litet idylliskt samhälle som en gång varit koloni för straffångar. Vägen dit gick genom ett vackert landskap.Där fanns även ett ullmuseum med butik. Mt Wellington National Park ligger nära Hobart och man kan lätt ta sig dit med lokalbuss och vandra på leder bland stora ormbunkar och vattenfall. Är man lite äventyrlig och inte är rädd för lite fart och höga vågor kan vi rekommendera en båttur runt Tamanian Penninsula. Man får se vackra klippformationer och kommer nära vilda havsdjur. Port Arthur är en historiskt intressant plats som ingår i båtturen.
