Das Tauernherz in Obertauern features 4-star accommodation with ski-to-door access and a bar. The hotel has an indoor pool, sauna and free WiFi throughout the property. We loved every piece of it, it is brand new and it has a very fancy design. Great wellness area, the pool is for children first of all, because that is not too big, ooops according to other hotels it is big :), it will be crowded very soon (we were there in high season). The whole hotel has spacious spaces, e.g. corridors are double as wide as ordinary, the apartments have a very friendly and warm interior, good equipped (I'd have been happy with an oven, that was missing well). Ski-storage is very up-to-date and very professional. Covered parking area for every guest.

Extremely good localisation! The ski slopes are really just outside the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful, food was delicious! Saunas were always empty so we were able to use them. The swimmingpool has water at a very pleasant temperature. The gym was also usually empty and easily usable. It was very silent in the hotel. It is a very good option to buy dinners at the hotel as there is very limited number of other open restaurants in Obertauern!

Huge selection of food and all of it of exceptional quality (often organic). Super delicios and fine dining quality dinners. The wellness areas are also luxiorious with big tea and drink selection (for free). No matter what is the weather outside, you can spend a wonderful time inside the hotel with your family.

We happened to stop by here in Dec 2021 and enjoyed a couple of meals in the restaurant, and were severed by the wonderful Philippe, so when it popped up as an accommodation option, we grabbed it. And it didn't disappoint. They are going through a staged refurbishment programme, so some of the rooms have been refitted in a modern alpinee style and they are lovely. More will be completed this summer. We've already booked for 2024 so looking forward to our return. And my daughter loved the chance to ride on the snowmobile from the parking to the hotel and back (and Dad is looking forward to the chance to get a ride in a piste basher next year!)

We really liked the hotel, mainly it’s great location for skiing, very profesional and kind staff (especially Christoph :-)), very tasty and good looking food, the equipment and cleaning of the room (incl. radio music in the bathroom :-)), large inside pool and all the “atmosphere” of the hotel, that made you feel welcome at this special place.

perfect location; ski in/out. friendly staff, they are always smiling and trying to help you. ski room is so good, you can leave your ski gears in private cabinet which works with your room key, so you dont need to carry them between your room-ski room.
