The staff were really helpful and the facilities were excellent. They had a Finnish sauna which was actually pretty close to the real thing. Everything is perfectly designed and combined with the modern age. The staff is very kind, very professional, and I would especially single out Anja, Romano and Timo from the reception, Zoran from the Spa center and the younger guy from the restaurant ( during breakfast time). We are definitely coming again in January.

Villa Excelsior – to piękny historyczny budynek. Tapety, żyrandole, meble, obrazy, nawet winda przypominają gościom o tym, że znaleźli się w miejscu, jakich niewiele jest na świecie. Dbałość o czystość – to atut Villi. Nieskazitelnie czysta pościel, ręczniki, codzienne zapytanie, czy czegoś nie brakuje. Bardzo smaczne posiłki w pięknej sali restauracyjnej, zarówno śniadania, jak i kolacje. Opieka kelnerska na najwyższym poziomie, dyskretna, ale jednocześnie czuwająca nad każdym gościem. Spędziliśmy Boże Narodzenie w Villi Excelsior. To był jeden z najlepszych naszych wyjazdów świątecznych.. Właściciel bardzo dba o swoich gości i z troską pyta, czy wszystko jest dobrze, czy czegoś nie brakuje. Pozdrawiamy serdecznie i życzymy wszystkim Szczęśliwego Nowego 2024 roku, wielu sukcesów i wspaniałych gości.

Our room had a beautiful view of snow capped mountains and the Bad Gastein Valley. We had freshly picked lettuces for our dinner and kind, friendly staff, including the owner’s family. We were picked up at the train station by Peter, the owner’s son, who also was our bartender in the evening. This a health spa, so try the Radon bath and the small group exercise class. I could hear birds singing all day in this precious spot with opportunity to ride a gondola to the top of nearby mountain for lunch surrounded by rugged Alpine peaks. This is a heavenly spot - a little isolated - so get the half board package and enjoy breakfast and dinner where the healthy menu changes daily.

I loved how huge the property was, including the long walk down scenic hallways especially to the fitness areas. The view from the room was incredible with the huge windows opening up to the mountains. The sauna and pool areas were absolutely fanastic. Right in the middle of Bad Gastein just up the street from the waterfall too.

Every detail is beautifully arranged and the whole design is stylish. Staff was extremely friendly and service was best of the best. Breakfast also arranged with love and perfection. One feels the love which is going into this awesome place!

Excellent location, great views, modern and clean room in a super tastefully decorated hotel. Free and unlimited use of Alpentherme is awesome, we went to relax and swim after days out. Their own spa is also excellent. Toma our waiter was fantastic, had our individual drinks prepared for breakfast without even asking, just as he saw us arrive.

The hosts were very friendly. I also enjoyed the breakfast a lot, there was great variety and some tasty Austrian dishes were available. The rooms were cleaned daily, beds were left orderly. We could also check in at a late time, which was very nice given our travel time.

Good location, 10 minute walk to the ski lift, nice place to store ski equipment during the night, parking available on site, nice room and bathroom. There are a few good places eat out in the nearby. Walking the dog in the area is fun way to discover Dorfgastein and please remember to pick up the litter after your pet. There is a coffee machine near the reception and you can pay with card.
